The financial world can be complex, we aim to keep it simple.

Belmore FP is a family orientated business founded in 2021 by Jonathan Mapp who has worked within financial services for more than 25 years and really knows what clients want from a financial planning company.

We are not a large firm, which means you will get to know the team quickly and can therefore talk to the same people who know you every time. We place great emphasis on making sure the client is comfortable to speak openly to any member of our team whenever they need us. 


Belmore Financial Planning’s headquarters is in Shropshire, but we have offices in other locations across the country to provide clients with the financial advice they need to make the most of their investments. 


We currently have clients throughout the UK including Berkshire, Bristol, Caernarfonshire, Cheshire, Cornwall, County Durham, Derbyshire, Dorset, East Sussex, Essex, Gloucestershire, Greater London, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Leicestershire, London, Merseyside, Shropshire, Somerset, Surrey, Warwickshire, West Midlands, West Sussex, Wiltshire and Worcestershire.

Meet the Team

Jonathan Mapp CFP Chartered Wealth Manager

Director and Chartered Financial Planner

 “It is so important that clients gain the most out of their hard work over many years. We help them to build on their accumulated assets to enjoy and make the most out of life experiences.”


I hold the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification and have been a Certified Financial Planner since 2005. I’m very passionate about financial planning and working with clients very closely to discover what’s important to them. 


I live with my family in Shropshire and get plenty of exercise walking my two gun dogs on the hills near the River Severn. I also enjoy playing casual golf with friends and clients - yes, many of our clients become friends, and friends become clients!


I love cooking, and of course the food has to be enjoyed with a good bottle of matching wine! I follow Shrewsbury Town Football Club (my local team) and aim to balance work with holidays in sunny locations.

I am proud to be one of the original members of the Belmore FP team. I’ve worked in the financial services industry since 1997 and hold a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, and I am currently working towards Chartered status.


Prior to working for Belmore FP, I have worked with Jonathan since 2015 and Jemma since 2019. We pride ourselves in being a close-knit team which we find is greatly appreciated by our clients.


Most of my hobbies are fairly active ones! I enjoy spending my holidays scuba diving and my other hobbies are swimming and running.

Jemma Mapp DipPFS

 “I enjoy working for Belmore because of the variety of work each day brings, helping clients with day-to-day queries and assisting in anything from estate planning to portal support.”


I am also one of the original members of Belmore FP.  I have recently achieved the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, and intend to move onto my Level 6 Diploma.  In my day-to-day role I provide technical administration support to our clients and also join Jonathan and Claire at some meetings.

 

I began my career in the financial service industry at the start of 2019. Before this, I studied at Westminster University and was Assistant Manager at a fine dining country pub. 


Outside work, I do a lot of walking with our family dogs in the Shropshire hills close to where we live. I enjoy gardening and cooking and I also make my own rhubarb gin.

Laura joined Belmore in October 2022


I have a strong background in customer services and have an appetite for new challenges.  I look forward to supporting the clients and the team at Belmore so feel free to call or email me if you need anything,  I will be happy to help.



As well as spending time with my family, I love music. If you play a few seconds of a song, I usually know what it is and all the words! I enjoy hiking and I am addicted to learning, undertaking lots of courses in my spare time.
